About

Showrunner Media is a network of internet communities serving distinct markets, including independent musicians and bands, Mac software developers, and Mac graphics designers. Run by a passionate team of volunteers, Showrunner Media strives to develop intimate environments that facilitate the open exchange of concepts and creations.

Showrunner Media was founded in 2004 with the launch of iCompositions, originally a community for users of Apple's GarageBand music creation software. As iCompositions' focus evolved to address the needs of musicians of all kinds, Showrunner Media branched out to provide a venue for exchanging desktop backgrounds, MacDesktops.net. Later, when Apple released Dashboard, a semi-transparent layer of mini-applications called Widgets, Showrunner Media launched the world's largest independent community for the software's users, developers, and designers, DashboardWidgets. Recognizing the tremendous level of anticipation surrounding the next version of Mac OS X, codenamed "Leopard," Showrunner Media created LeopardTracker, a resource indexing articles, rumors, wishlists and all other information related to Leopard.
